Two former classmates meet again in an exclusive hotel - one as a privileged guest, the other as a maid. Their encounter strips away masks to reveal choices, delusions, and the damaging limits that may come when you're an American with an Asian face.
Charlie Chaplin lived there. Olympians have trained there. Now, on August 1, an actual hotel suite in the Los Angeles Athletic Club in downtown's historic core becomes the stage for Reds, Whites, and Blues, the provocative new play by local Japanese American playwright Leslie K. Gray. This is truly intimate theatre with seating limited to ten audience members per show.
